Pastor Rodney Beard Sr., is a native of Shreveport, LA where he accepted his call to ministry before moving to Nashville, TN in 1990. He is a gifted Seer and bible teacher with the God-given ability to bring the activities of heaven to earth (Matthew 6:10). He is popularly known in Nashville as the Harley Davidson Motorcycle Preacher, Gumbo and Peach Cobbler aficionado, Fast Car Driving, Man amongst Men “Preacher”!

Pastor Rodney is the founding pastor of Living Word Community Church, which started while he was employed at Saturn Corporation where he held bible study on lunch breaks. These bible studies later expanded to a clubhouse on the property of his condo. It was here that launched the beginning of The Living Word Community Church in November 1994.

Since the inception of LWCC, the church has been blessed with vision on many levels, the foremost of which is love of God, His Word, and His worship. Pastor Beard demonstrates love to the congregation through his personal touch which translates to the love of brothers and sisters in Christ and those who may not know Him, as witnesses for Him.

His love for God and people is apparent, instilled in him by his parents who loved God, their children, others, and especially each other. He was diligently taught and professionally trained in his faith for the service of Kingdom Works for the glory of God. It is his desire to share that love with you in the beauty of God’s holiness.

Pastor Beard enjoys time at any beach, riding his Harley, reading, journalism, activism, and Nat Geo. He is married to Pastor Stephanie Beard and the couple lives in Williamson County. He is the proud father of Rodney Beard Jr., Esq. and Kristen Beard, RN.
